Bump in the Road not only plays weddings, birthday parties, corporate events and special occasions, but we play local venues and clubs as well. The summer of 2009 has the band playing at: Barnacles in Brandon. Barnacles is a huge Sports Bar with over 450 TV's, great food and Wed/Fri live entertainment. Just off route 60, the club is located off Lakewood Dr just 4 traffic lights south of Rt. 60. Catch the group there on many Friday's from 9pm - 1am. Great menu, pool room and indoor and outdoor dining. Catch the Bumps on the patio for listening and dancing. Rick's on the River...another popular spot where the Bumps play is located right on the Hillsborough River near downtown Tampa. This local hot spot is a real gathering spot all week long. Bump in the Road has played on Wednesdays and will be adding additional dates as we approach the fall. Good food, indoor/outdoor dining, and great entertainment makes Rick's the perfect place to gather after work with your friends and co-workers. *The Line Up Sports Bar and Pizzeria*...this local favorite has all the right ingredients, sports atmosphere with large plasma TV's throughout, pool tables, electronic darts and live music on Fridays. There is an outdoor patio for those looking for fresh air dining. In addition to pizza, they offer a full range of Italian specialties, wings and salads. Located on W. Hillsborough Ave just a few miles west of the Veterans Expressway, the facility is in the Publix Shopping Center on the northside of Hillsborough. Entertainment from 8:30pm - 12:30am. Ka'Tiki Sunset Beach Bar...this spot in Treasure Island has long been a locals favorite and now the Bump in the Road Band will get a chance to perform in the fall. In September 1982, "KatNic's" opened as a Sandwich Shop. Later, they added tables to offer FULL-SERVICE dining and has evolved to what we now know as the "Bar of the Locals" called KA'TIKI with LIVE MUSIC 7 days a week! Owners Kathi & Fred Stern added the now signature "CHICKEE" roof. A chickee is an open-sided wooden hut that has a thatched roof or palmetto or other traditional materials. It's a tiki hut, in plain American-Polynesian English, and very popular with locals and visitors. *Dixie's Dockside*...located in Gibsonton, just 6-7 miles past Brandon off I-75 is a boater's paradise. A little touch of Gilligan's Island with lot's of Mary Ann's running around. The facility has both covered areas and dockside relaxing with full-services for the boaters in need of supplies. Live music every Fri/Sat and Sun. The bar serves beer and wine only and light snacks with occasional grilling for burgers and dawgs. Come ready to party at the "Happy Place" as the locals refer, and catch the Bump in the Road Band this fall from 7-11pm. Check the calendar for exact dates.
